Thank you for your participation in the conference “SmartCity Lab: Public Sector, Science, and Business for the Development of Technological Innovation in Poland,” held on March 17, 2023, at the Academic Center for Cross-Border Cooperation of the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Chełm. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Chełm and was organized by ITS POLSKA and PANS in Chełm. Companies interested in collaborating with SmartCity Lab include Lenovo Polska, Hikvision Poland, PTV Group, Smart Factor, A-Ster, and MSR Traffic.

The conference marked the initiation of the first SmartCity Lab project in Poland, where the public, scientific, and business sectors will collaborate to develop new technologies. The headquarters of SmartCity Lab is located at the Chełm Economic Activity Center.
The event brought together representatives from local governments, scientific communities, and corporate sectors. Interested parties from various parts of Poland, including Gdańsk, Poznań, and Katowice, attended the conference, which provided an opportunity for insightful presentations and engaging discussions.
Dr. Eng. Marek Litwin, President of the ITS POLSKA Association and initiator of the SmartCity Lab project, along with Senator Józef Zając, Vice-Rector of PANS and host of the Academic Center for Cross-Border Cooperation of the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Chełm, inaugurated the conference. Renata Ciepłowicz, Secretary of the city of Chełm, read a letter of gratitude from Mayor Jakub Banaszek.
Towards the end of the conference, participants had the opportunity to visit the modern laboratories of the Engineering Studies Center at Chełm PANS in Depułtycze Królewskie.
